From the famous Lurton family, this property was founded and exploited brilliantly by the patriarch, André Lurton, and has always made very good red and white wine. This is generally a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Slightly herbaceous notes are somewhat surprising, but the nice tobacco notes interwoven with black cherry and blackcurrant are reassuring. This medium-bodied, spicy, earthy, classic Pessac Léognan is best drunk over the next decade. Drink : 2015-2025.

2016 Edition - Although rather discreet, the bouquet displays a certain complexity with aeration to reveal hints of fresh fruit (strawberry), flowers (violet), and spice (pepper).  The wine starts of very soft on the palate, going on to reveal a soft, silky, tannic texture. Rather light, but forthcoming and attractive thanks to its upfront fruitiness. 2015-2019.
